Challenge

The platform had to handle twenty times more traffic than usual, which led to its complete shutdown. Our job was to bring the situation under control and the platform back to life as quickly as possible.

Results

We identified and fixed all critical points which directly affected the performance of the platform. We implemented a stronger buffering mechanism and adjusted the settings of all servers. After the platform was restarted, it was able to handle a traffic volume fifty times higher than the daily average.
